Solution #7 - Investing in Basic Infrastructure and Upkeep

While it is not headline grabbing, maintaining our basic infrastructure is critical to ensuring that Langley City remains healthy, safe, and prosperous. If re-elected, I will continue to advocate for our City to expand its asset management program to make sure that infrastructure is renewed in the most efficient ways possible. I will also continue to advocate to other levels of government for infrastructure funding to help keep property taxes reasonable.

Solution #6 - Partnering to Tackle Homelessness and Affordable Housing

Addressing homelessness, providing affordable housing, improving mental health, and resolving the opioid crisis requires the support of the federal and provincial governments. Langley City Council lobbied hard for a specialized provincial team to start tackling some of these complex issues in our community. While these challenges will not be resolved overnight, I am fully committed to moving forward and ensuring that our community remains healthy, prosperous, and full of opportunity if re-elected.

Solution #5 - Maintaining Langley City’s Sense of Community and Character

I will continue to support programs that encourage neighbours to get to know one another. I will continue to engage in meaningful public consultation about our community’s future, including neighbourhood meetings and online engagement, if re-elected.

Solution #4 - Improving Parks and Increasing Green Space

If re-elected, I will continue to support enhancing our parks, trails, and programming, along with improving infrastructure in the floodplain and Brydon Lagoon, to protect these ecologically sensitive areas.

Solution #3 - Creating a Vibrant Downtown Langley

If re-elected, I will continue to support investing in creating a vibrant downtown where there is always something positive happening, where there are places to spend time with friends and family.

Solution #2 - Working Towards a Safer Langley City

If re-elected, I will continue to work towards a safer Langley City by using fresh approaches that bring positive activity to our community while reducing negative activity.

Solution #1 - Building a Walkable Langley City

If re-elected, I will continue to advocate for building a more walkable Langley.
